Beloved Hospital Rocking Horse Retires, Finds New Museum Home
A beloved rocking horse, affectionately known as “Bobby,” has officially retired after half a century of dedicated service at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. Donated to the children's ward in 1974 by a patient's parent who was also a hospital carpenter, Bobby became an iconic fixture, providing comfort and distraction to countless young patients over five decades.
